A few words about KatrinaKatrina, a sketch by and copyright (c) M.M.Mitchell

Following high school, Katrina attended Bakersfield College with an intent to major in Child Development. An industrial accident put a major block in those plans, and while she recovered from hand surgery, she attended classes at California State University, Bakersfield.

While there, she met and married Herb; life tooks its course and she became a stay at home mother for several years.

Once our family moved to Washington state and the children were in school, she returned to the work force, eventually becoming employed by the State of Washington Department of Health & Human Services, where she was exposed to the intricacies of Network Management, among other things.

After working for the State of Washington for several years, Katrina was employed by Microsoft, where she became Worldwide Operations Release Manager for what was formerly Microsoft Press.

Following a shifting economy, Microsoft sold off that aspect of their business, thus freeing Katrina to investigate new and exciting career opportunities. After looking at a number of options, she decided to return to college after nearly 30 years and move into the growth industry of Funeral Services.

Among the many new job skills she is learning, embalming is one of the more exciting. To this end, she needs some assistance, which the typical financial aid programs do not seem to cover - she needs a body. Actually, she needs two bodies, and all of the ones currently available to her are still in use by their owners.

You know that old saying about "friends help friends move ... real friends help friends move bodies." REALLY GOOD FRIENDS help friends buy bodies for their college labs.

Can you be a really good friend and help out?

Bodies that are not currently in use by an owner cost $1000, and are shared by multiple students (each performing a different task) and the lab fee for the class is $500; that only covers part of the cost of the 'body' and not of all the supplies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE*) that we have to purchase each and every time, so it's a little pricier than expected. Any little bit helps, and you have my deepest and greatest thanks. Please, feel free to pass on, signal boost, and share this link. All donations greatfully appreciated!

Thanks!
