Ralph H. Griers Plan Anniversary Open House Party
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph H. Grier, Andover, Kansas, will observe their golden
wedding anniversary March 8 with an open house in their home between 2
and 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
They were married on March 4, 1903, in the home of Mrs. Grier's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Shaup, route 5 Wichita, by Rev. E.T.Julian. They have
lived in this community most of their lives.
Mrs. Grier (Mary Shaup/Shoup) is a native of McHenry, KY., and arrived in
Kansas with her parents at the age of 5. (Another clipping , Version 2,
says she came to Kansas at age 2).
They have three daughters, Mesdames, Vera Bally, Grace Alliston (my
paternal grandmother), and Helen Winifred Stucker, who with their
families will attend the open house.
