- TEXT: 409 Per Annie Mae CLARK Tucker: 1982, Dwayne Lee used the alias "De Wayne Park, when he lived in Commerce, Texas, working as a cook. He was listed as De Wayne Parks, in 1982, in the City Directory. On 11 May 1993, he received his GED Certificate at Paris Jr. College in Paris, Texas. He loved motor cycles, and camping. On June 3, 1997 Dwayne Lee and his son were riding a trike that Dwayne had built himself and went into a curve too fast. He lost control and the trike flipped. Both Dwane and Bubba, his son, were thrown from the trike. Dwayne received massive head injuries when he slide into a telephone pole. He never regained consciousness. He was in the ICU unit in St, Joseph's Hospital in Paris, Texas on a respirator until about five p.m. Thursday June 6, 1997. All test indicated that the brain had never resumed function after the accident. The respirator was removed at that time and shortly afterwards he was pronounced dead. Bubba received severe abrashions & minor bruises but no broken bones or internal injuries. He remained in the hospital for several days, receiving treatment for his injuries. Medical Information: High blood pressure, Stroke. Military service: None. Occupation: cook, carnival worker, construction worker. Per Kathleeen Kay Clark Zahn on May 2, 1997: Mary & Dwayne were seperated in April 1997. Their two children went to stay with their cousin Angela Kay Bartlett Edwards. Per newspaper obituary, newspaper in Paris Texas: Burial services for Dwayne Lee "Junior" Clark, of Paris, Texas, were held Monday, June 9, 1997 at The First Church of the Nazarene, in Paris, Texas, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Paris. Rickey Fields, Robert Edwards, David Butler, King Bartlett, Shawn Parsons, William Blackshear, James Bates and Christopher Pendergraff served as pallbearers. Dwayne was born May 13, 1960 at Mercy Hospital, in Slaton, Texas. He moved to Commerce, Texas, in 1976, then to Paris, Texas in 1983. He died Thursday, June 5, 1997 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Mary Michel Clark, two daughters; Lisa Marie Michel and Candace Mae "Candy" Clark, one son Dwayne Lee "Bubba" Clark Jr., one granddaughter Dominique LaFaye Michel all of Paris, Texas, one brother Grady Luther Clark Jr. of Taylors, South Carolina and three sisters; Algerita Richardson of Amarillo, Texas, Annie Mae Tucker of Commerce, Texas, and Kathleen Kay Zahn of Roxton, Texas. He was preceeded in death by his father, Grady Luther Clark Sr., his mother, Clara Lowe Clark, and two brothers; Rodger Derwood Clark, and Melvin Monroe Clark, all of Slaton, Texas.
