- Obituaries Muskogee Phoenix Sunday August 15, 1993. Lorene Gibson Kay..Stigler--Lorene Gibson Kay, 80, of Claremore died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1993, in a Tulsahospital. Mrs. Kay was born April 2, 1913, in Porum to James T. and Kate (Delaney) Gibson. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist faith.Survivors include one daughter, Lois Allphine, of Claremore; one son, James Loyd Porter of Broken Arrow; one sister, Marcell Drake, of Muskogee; four brothers, Gene Gibson and Bill Gibson both of Porum; Carmen Gibson of Muskogee and Chester Gibson of Oxnard, CA; six grandchildren; 10 great grand children and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Kay was preceeded in death by her parents, Jim and Kate Gibson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1993, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Porum with the Rev. Louie Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Fields Cemetary (North East of Porum) under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler. Pallbearers willl be grandsons, Shawn Porter, Randy Timmons, Joe Sagi, Ty Timmons, Leslie Gibson and Shane Minor. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Gibson and Bradley Saterfield. Viewing will be in Mallory Porum Chapel Sunday 2 untill 8:30 p.,. Monday 9 a.m. until 8:20 p.m.and Tuesday 9 am.m. until service time.
