Arthur Pipes #148 Walter Joe Pipes copied by hand from newspaper by Mary Jane Pipes Frank Trinity Times July 27, 1917 Muster Roll County, K, Fifth Tx. Inf. Lonnie Pipes All the foregoing three commissioned officers and 155 enlisted men stood Federal inspection on July 24, and were accepted into the Federal Service by Capt. J.W. Pruyn of the 19th Inf., USA and Col. A.R. Scholars of the First Texas Cavalry, but 30 men above named have yet to stand the physical exam. More than enough men have been enlisted to meet the Federal requirements of 150 for a war strength company, and the acceptance of the County, into the Federal Service is unconditional. The company will probably entrain Aug. 3 and reach the Ft. Worth Training Camp Aug. 5th.
